Alder Body

The Squier by Squier Affinity Stratocaster features an alder body, which combines resilience with impressive attack to provide a crisp, bright, midrange burst of tones. HSS Pickups

The Affinity Stratocaster is loaded with a HSS (Humbucker, Single coil, Single coil) pickup configuration. This is an incredibly versatile setup and gives you the choice between dark and powerful humbucker tones alongside bright and nuanced single coil sounds. The pickups are wired to a 5-way switch which gives you five distinct tones to choose between, with biting bridge-position sounds, mellow neck-position tones, and all manner of in-between sounds which will instantly remind you of countless recordings. This pickup combination is incredibly versatile and partly the reason why the Stratocaster is often chosen as a session player’s guitar, and by other artists in almost every genre of music.
