Hardly any other guitarist is as often associated with Ibanez guitars as guitar superstar Steve Vai. The JEM, Steve Vai’s signature model has been an integral part of the Ibanez program since 1987 in various versions. With the JEMJR-WH, Ibanez has an inexpensive entry-level model with the typical features of the JEM: RG Style Body with the characteristic Lion Claw milling under the tremolo and the iconic “Monkey Grip”, flat Wizard III neck, powerful Quantum pickups in H / S / H placement and standard FR style tremolo.

The Signature series comprises of various Ibanez models that were adapted to the needs of the artist by using more or less extensive modifications correspondingly. The basic idea of a Signature guitar is that the artist in question can replace “his” guitar if necessary almost anywhere and on the other hand, the inclined guitarist can play the same model as his idol. Many features of Signature guitars have now found their way into series production.
