Following the success of the Gless Hughes Signature Edition Crush Bass 50 Combo Amplifier, it is with great pleasure to announce the launch of the Glenn Hughes Signature O Bass! Just like the amplifier, the bass guitar is in a striking purple finish. After witnessing the results of a bass-player friend hand-modding his bass while living in LA in the early 90s, Ade Emsley (Orange’s Amp Designer) realized what difference an unorthodox pickup positioning made to the tone. The O Bass replicates that modification, giving the instrument a real growl, with a fatter high register to boot! The Orange O-Bass has cemented its position as one of the easiest-playing, most colourful and most versatile bass guitars out there. The classic single cutaway body shape and the split-coil pickup are positioned slightly more neckwards than most other basses, all the better for producing that deep, warm growl.
