Small Space, Big Sound
The B Series takes inspiration from Yamaha’s renowned U Series. With soundboards and ribs crafted from premium tonewoods and fine spruce, these pianos deliver rich, expressive tone, far beyond what’s expected at the entry level.
Back Posts, Forward Thinking
Thanks to years of advanced research, Yamaha developed a proprietary wood-drying process. As a result, B Series back posts retain their shape, strength, and resonance for many years, ensuring consistent performance.
Advanced V-Pro Frame
Yamaha pioneered the use of Vacuum Shield Mold casting, known as V-Pro technology. This innovation creates a stronger, lighter, and more durable frame. Each B Series piano features a full-perimeter frame, precision-built at our Iwata Forge in Japan.
Specially Designed Hammers
Each B Series hammer is crafted from premium materials and tailored to the specific piano model. This design ensures optimal tone, quick response, and long-lasting musical enjoyment.
Hand-Wound Bass Strings
At our Kakegawa factory in Japan, Yamaha artisans hand-wind pure copper for each bass string. They carefully adjust the balance and tension to meet the unique sound profile of every B Series instrument.
The World’s First Aluminum Action Rail
Yamaha’s patented aluminum action rail resists changes in humidity and temperature. This innovation, often imitated but never matched, keeps the keyboard action consistent, year after year.
