Originally achieved by physically pushing the tape flange on a reel-to-reel recording device, flanging is one of the earliest guitar-effects. The Hammertone™ Flanger delivers dramatic, rushing jet stream waves and subtler, swirling tendrils of modulation. Pedal board-friendly top-mounted in & out jacks and true bypass footswitch mean it will integrate seamlessly into your rig.

The Fender Hammertone Flanger creates one of the first known modulation effects for the electric guitar and recreates the iconic effect in a variety of ways. Three controls – Manual, Rate and Depth – allow you to precisely tailor the classic flanger effect to any imaginable application, from a subtle swirl to a wildly oscillating jet turbine. Additional control options include a Res switch for a distinctive resonance boost and a Type switch for selecting the effect type. Housed in a rugged aluminum case, the effects pedal features face-mounted connectors that simplify wiring on densely populated pedalboards and furthermore features classic true bypass circuitry.
