Roland has gone to town with adding their very best pad designs to the SPD-SX Pro Sample Pad. Each pad has increased shoulder pad sensitivity and improved crosstalk performance allowing for every stroke to be perfectly on time. The pads also have high-visibility LED’s horizontally and vertically inserted around them which are fully customisable from the display menu allowing you to pair a certain colour to a certain sound making playability just that bit easier on stage.

The fun doesn’t just stop at the pads

Although the nine pads are at the forefront of the SPD-SX Pro, the sample pad also includes an array of external connectivity options to expand your drumming sound even further. With jack inputs on the back of the SPD-SX Pro you can connect electronic hi-hats, kick drums and snare drums for a “mini drum kit” setup ideal for small venues or home practice. Additionally, the Roland sample pad features a dedicated input for a hi-hat or footswitch expression control and inputs to add up to eight external individual triggers or pads.

There’s more than meets the eye

A built-in click track, 16-step sequencer function and 32GB of internal memory are also included with the SPD-SX Pro Sample Pad to hold up to 200 kit patches (43 erasable preset kits and 157 user kits). Housed by the bright, user-friendly 4.3” display screen are 1550 samples and sounds to choose from and view during your performances. These sounds and samples can be manipulated with the onboard effects engine which features up to four effects in parallel, plus side chain with output routing.
