Hammered by hand and completely unshrouded, the Meinl-Byzance Dark cymbals immediately hit the sound spectrum, which opens just enough to get out of the way. The hihats and rides provide clarity, cut and volume, along with a distinctive dark tone that is highlighted by their unique surface.

The Meinl-Byzance-Dark cymbals are made in Turkey from B20 bronze and are hammered into shape by hand. The surfaces here are unbattened, which creates the dark surface, with the exception of the Spectrum Hihats and Rides, which are partially spiral-twisted.
