Proven quality in a classic guise

With the Boss Katana-100 Gen 3 modeling combo, Boss is launching a new, revised version of this modern classic. One of the biggest innovations compared to its predecessor is the expansion of the amp modes from five to six types. The new Pushed mode is now also available which, like every other mode, has two different voicings. The 12″ Boss Katana Custom speaker provides a rich Output and with a maximum output of 100 watts, the third Katana generation delivers powerful sounds with the authentic character of a tube amp. In addition to the familiar features such as the integrated USB audio interface or the headphone connection with natural-sounding speaker simulation of its predecessor, the new Bluetooth adapter slot for the Bluetooth Audio MIDI dual adapter has been added.

The new Katana generation offers six amp modes and a wide range of settings to find the sound that meets your personal preferences.

Six amp modes and pushed mode

The central elements of the Boss Katana-100 Gen 3 guitar amplifier’s sound generation are also the six amp modes, which make it easy to cover almost all genres. The crunch mode provides a subtly breaking Overdrive up sound, while the clean mode focuses on crystal-clear, bell-like sounds. The lead and brown modes are suitable for all fans of rock and metal, with higher gain regions being activated here. The Acoustic mode provides unadulterated amplification of electro-acoustic acoustic guitars. With the integrated 3-band equalizer and a second voicing for each amp mode, all generated sounds can be further varied and adjusted.

The 1×12" katana Custom loudspeaker delivers a full sound image for practice purposes as well as for the rehearsal room or stage.

Numerous effects and Boss Tone app support

The extensive onboard effects section of the Boss Katana-100 Gen 3 Combo allows up to five effects to be used simultaneously thanks to two double-deck potentiometers and the reverb control. In addition to the classic modulation effects, a delay and other FX types, there is also a booster to increase the signal strength. The amp can also be expanded using the optional BT dual adapter for audio streaming and the corresponding Boss Tone Studio app.

Flexible power amplifier with internal speaker and cab resonance function

With a maximum output of 100 watts, the Boss Katana-100 Gen 3 Combo guarantees a rich, powerful sound. Thanks to the power control switch, the output of the power amp can be easily reduced in two steps to 50 watts or 0.5 watts for home or studio use. The integrated 12″ Boss Katana Custom speaker provides a full sound image and delivers a decent output, especially on stage. The amp also has a Cab Resonance switch, which can be used to select three characteristic cab characters (Modern, Vintage, Deep). This gives the sound a special fine-tuned nuance, which qualitatively enhances the playing and listening experience of the amp modeler.

Wide variety of connections

The Katana-100 Gen 3 is characterized by many different, useful connections that allow the combo to be used flexibly. Silent electric guitar playing is no problem thanks to the headphone connection, while the power amp-in connection ensures the integration of Preamps or multi-effects. The Katana-100 Gen 3 also has a USB-C port and the new Bluetooth adapter slot for Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual adapters. The optionally available footswitches and expression pedals for controlling the amplifier can be conveniently plugged into the rear panel.
