Fender Shields Blender Guitar Effect Pedal – Kevin Shields Signature Effect Pedal
Legendary Tone Reborn
Kevin Shields, a pioneer of fuzz-laden alternative rock tones, defined the iconic sonic walls of the ’80s and ’90s. His pedal of choice, the original Fender Blender, delivered dynamic, gripping fuzz like the world had never heard. Now, Fender has resurrected this legendary fuzz in collaboration with Shields, creating the Fender Shields Blender Guitar Effect Pedal with a modern, performance-oriented feature set.
Vintage Circuit, Modern Control
At its core, the Shields Blender faithfully echoes the tone of Shields’ personal 1970s Fender Blender. Fender hand-traced the original circuit to preserve its classic character. Moreover, new controls make the fuzz more versatile and expressive.
Dual Channels and Dynamic Effects
The pedal features two footswitchable fuzz channels, each with dedicated level controls. You can blend the fuzz with your clean signal or mix it with a sub-octave fuzz for heavier tones. In addition, the sag footswitch introduces sputtering and ducking effects, which respond dynamically to your picking intensity.
Performance-Ready Design
The custom 1970s-inspired chassis houses top-mounted jacks for easy connectivity. True-bypass switching preserves your tone, and the pedal runs on either a 9-Volt battery or a center-negative AC adaptor (not included).
