YAMAHA TOUR CUSTOM 14 X 5.5-INCH SOOLOTRUMM CANDY APPLE SATIN

Yamaha have designed this Tour Custom snare drum to be as versatile as possible. Safe to say, they’ve succeed and have basically created the ideal snare drum for modern drummers, especially because they’re generally expected to be able to play a little bit of everything these days. The shell of this snare drum is made entirely of maple and consists of six plies for a total thickness of 5.6 mm, while a 45-degree bearing edge, 2.3 mm Inversa Dyna Hoops, Absolute Cast Lugs and Remo Ambassador drum heads ensure that the snare effortlessly projects a bright, varied sound supported by a huge dynamic and tuning range.

As you might’ve guessed, the shell measures 14 x 5.5 inches, which is slightly less deep than what the 14 x 6.5-inch models from the Tour Custom Series offer. Don’t worry though, this won’t cost you in terms of sound. The fact that the shell is a little more shallow, actually results in a more focussed sound. For the finish, the shell is coated in tasty Candy Apple Satin.
