body, neck and mechanics:

For body and neck bronze alloy was used, which gives the sound of the new WO series a velvety sound. The mechanism is made of high quality brass alloy. The neu scale run on the body and the size of the sound holes and their arrangement (scale) was completely revised. This allowed both the Intonation and the Ergonomics to be noticeably improved. At the bocal an additional sound plate has been installed which amplifies the sound reflection and sound, for example, gives more expressiveness in pianissimo. The adjusted angle of the C/Eb-key provides more comfort and playing safety.

Sound and response:

The Saxophones from Yanagisawa are known for their exemplary intonation and their balanced sound character in all registers. By optimizing and novel sound board at the S-bow acoustic change was achieved also with the sound. The velvety and rich sound character makes this saxophone for modern music to a perfect and reliable companion be it Big Band or the jazz combo.
