Make great recordings wherever you are. The Tascam DR-40X Four Track Audio Recorder features Dual Neutrik® XLR/TRS combo jacks which support both mic-level and +4dBu line-level. The two inputs can accept microphone and linelevels from mixers and front of house consoles. It features +48V phantom power and plenty of gain to help you make detailed recordings with both dynamic and condenser microphones.

Low noise floor – high coverage

The DR-40X records at very high-quality levels whenever you need it to. Thanks to the inbuilt stereo microphones, vibrant recordings are only a button press away. Pick up every detail – small whispers to jet engine levels (that’s up too 125dB SPL). You can change them to record in an X-Y pattern for more focused recording or A-B for more ambient recording. If you care about quality then the DR-40X has great coverage.

Intuitive design

Record with total ease. DR-40X has been redesigned to offer ease of control with every function ready to access within a few clicks. Record, adjust levels, delete takes, and add markers. All with a press of a button. The DR-40X supports 10 languages and has an can run for 17.5 on two AA battries or indefinetely on a USB mobile battery.
