Yamaha GrandTouch-S keyboard – Wooden Key Authentic Feel

The Yamaha P-525 features the highly regarded GrandTouch-S keyboard, which also equips Yamaha’s top-flight Clavinova digital pianos. The feel of the keys is as close as it gets to the touch of a grand piano.

The GrandTouch-S keyboard also faithfully simulates tonal variations from subtle differences in how hard, quickly, and heavily they are played, affording grand piano-like variety and richness of tone. The keys are made of solid wood, and the laminated structure makes them resistant to warping and exceptionally durable.

Enhanced pianos With CFX and Bosendorfer

The Yamaha P-525 has been upgraded with enhanced piano voices, offering outstanding response and dynamics and immersing you in the piano playing. Yamaha’s own CFX along with the Bosendorfer Imperial Grand are 2 of the worlds most renowned pianos. Amongst a selection of pianos in the P-525, Grand Expression Modelling and Virtual Resonance Modelling technology bring a truly superior piano playing experience.

Grand Expression Modeling digitally simulates tonal variance by accurately sensing the slightest differences in the speed and intensity of the player’s input.

Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) simulates and outputs the rich tones produced by the vibrations and sympathetic resonance of the strings, damper, body, and duplex scaling of a grand piano in response to the player’s input on the keyboard.

Binaural Sampling – Experience 3D CFX Piano Sound On Headphones

Binaural sampling involves placing microphones by the player’s ears to pick up the sound of the Yamaha CFX during sampling. The result is that when you wear headphones while playing the Yamaha P-525B with the CFX Grand Voice, the sound will sound like it is coming from a grand piano right in front of you, even though it is actually coming from the earpieces on the left and right sides of your head.

Yamaha also developed the Stereophonic Optimizer function to achieve a similar effect for the piano Voices other than the CFX. Stereophonic Optimizer technology replicates the natural diffusion of sound in headphones nearly as closely as binaural sampling for the piano Voices other than the CFX.

40 Rhythm Patterns

Yamaha have equipped the P-525B piano with a nice array of simple backing bass and drum rhythms. These rhythms cover a selection of genres allowing you to enhance your timing, add extra flavour to your music, and just enjoy trying different styles of music.

Yamaha P-525 Enhanced Speaker System

The two-way speakers produce all sounds from substantial bass and light treble clearly, with no distortion or noise. The speakers are angled slightly toward the bench so that you are enveloped by sound. The speaker box has been modified with flared bass reflex ports and proprietary sound absorbing tubes to substantially reduce the wind noise, vibration noise, and other excess noise that tends to originate from speaker boxes.

The Yamaha P-525 is also the first digital piano equipped with an FIR filter. The FIR filter is used to make fine adjustments to the phase of the sound, allowing people in the same room as the person playing to hear a naturally pleasing sound.

Bluetooth Audio/ MIDI

The P-525 features built-in Bluetooth audio which lets you pair this instrument with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet to listen to your favorite music through the instrument’s speakers. You can also play along with the sound coming from the instrument’s speakers. Furthermore, built-in Bluetooth� MIDI functionality allows you to use the Smart Pianist app over a wireless connection.

Smart Pianist App Integration

The Yamaha Smart Pianist app offers outstanding features for learning to play, to access the products internal sounds, recording and more. The app is completely free and the P-525B is fully compatible with smart pianist.
