Gibson SG Tribute, Natural Walnut Overview

A well-crafted classic. The Gibson SG Tribute is just that – a fitting tribute to a legend of a guitar. Modelled off the original design and coming packed with features which will make your jaw drop, it will take you on the ultimate musical journey. The classic ‘devil horn’ design hints at its devilishly good sound, with two high grade Gibson pickups loaded into the neck and bridge.

You’ll soon be making those crunchy vintage riffs sparkle when you pick up this guitar. Playability is at the heart of this beast, with a rosewood fretboard and maple neck letting your fingers loose on the frets. With this classic-yet-modern music maker in your hands, the gods of rock ‘n’ roll will truly smile down upon you.

The one and only

Gibson SG. It’s appeared in countless bands over the years, in genres ranging from blues to hard rock and beyond. Having a thinner body than the Les Paul and offering a different playing experience altogether, it is an iconic guitar which revolutionised guitar design as we know it. Now you can experience the thrill of playing this fierce, fiery, flawless guitar, which has an updated design and features.

Modern pickups, vintage sound

The dream team of vintage style pickups, each humbucker in this SG Tribute shines with vibrancy. There’s a 490T in the bridge position, which is the perfect humbucker for rhythm chops. With an emphasised upper mid-range and treble response, it will give every note you play that crispness which takes your riffs to rock paradise. Your chords will sing with definition, and your licks will hum harmonically. In essence, your sound will ring like a bell, whether using crunchy gain or pristine clean settings.

Switch to the neck and it’s a different sonic story. The 490R has slightly lower output, and makes lead wail with emotion. Your licks will sing to the stars, with a well-rounded response and superb articulation. In combination with four knobs for volume and tone control, as well as a simple toggle switch, your sound will be firmly in your hands.

The way to play

The ultimate in playability. Made from maple, the rounded neck of this charismatic guitar has plenty of promise. The smoothness will give your hand unbound freedom along the fretboard. This means you’ll be able to play any riff you like with unparalleled ease. Being a dense wood, maple also gives the SG Tribute a bright resonance, adding to its dynamic tonal range. Armed with this, your music will have every chance to shine.

Riveting rosewood

Let your fingers fly. With a rosewood fretboard beneath them, your fingertips will thank you for having great taste. One of the most popular woods amongst guitarists, rosewood gives you the best playing experience you can imagine. Being seductively smooth, it’s incredibly easy to change between frets. It also creates naturally rich sustain, meaning that each note you play will endure. This is exceptionally useful for blazing solos.

The full shebang

More than equipped. For a classic guitar, it really is decked out with modern features. The aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop bar are top of the range, reliably keeping your string tuning and stability in check. A Graph Tech nut sits at the headstock end of the guitar, helping the strings reach the perfect resonance for that magical Gibson tone. Topped with a solid black pickguard and mountains of pure charisma, the SG Tribute is a performer’s dream.
